Nike SB Dunk Low Pro 'ACG Terra'
The third colourway to enliven the classic courtside silhouette, the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro ‘ACG Terra’ returns in an all new red plum and citron colour block design that takes creative influence not only from the iconic Nike Air Terra ACG but from throwback ‘90s hiking silhouettes such as the ‘89 Wildwood and 1990 Baltoro High.
Honouring the All Conditions Gear (ACG) remit to include an outdoor orientated guise across an all season design, the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro ‘ACG Terra’ pairs explorative function with the skate specific subdivision’s pronounced appreciation for performative progression. A tribute to Nike’s ‘Terra’ line of trail shoes that originated during the ‘80s, Nike SB steps in to adhere to contemporary trends and to shed new light on what can only be described as one of the most experimental trail running designs of all time.
Part of the slowly evolving Nike SB ACG collection, these trail minded sneakers find themselves well placed next to 2020’s ‘91 reminiscent black and purple Nike SB Dunk Low Pro ACG and this year’s Caldera ACG Hiking Boot inspired Nike SB Dunk Low Pro ACG Caldera, whilst team rider Grant Taylor’s Air Mowabb referencing Nike SB Zoom Blazer Mid Pro GT turned its attention to yet another ACG classic designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1991. Much like the Air Humara and the Air Terra Sertig, the archive influenced Dunk Low Pro ACG sets its sights on conquering not only concrete but the challenging terrains of any outdoor orientated setting.
Featuring the same wallpaper speckled twin tone cupsole as its fellow Nike SB ACG collection counterparts, this low profile skate shoe pays homage to the ‘90s with its colour block black and plum colouring, whilst the taxi orange cupsole stitch brings an additional layer of depth to its hiking inspired design. Retaining Nike’s iconic circular tread across the underfoot as a transference from hardwood courtside tradition to concrete, the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro ACG keeps all season terrains well accounted for through its grippy traction. Perforations across the toe box supply a well ventilated day on day wear, whilst the citron green suede Swooshes are a complement to the butter smooth suede upper. Puffy black laces secure the padded mesh ‘Nike SB Dunk Low Pro’ flag labelled tongue across the arch of the foot, whilst the green and pink insoles honour the profile’s Zoom Air sockliners with custom branding. Signed off with orange stitch ‘Nike’ embroidery across each heel that complements the cushioned ankle support and stacked suede brace for an additional layer of throwback textural charm.
