A colourway synonymous with the likes of the LA Lakers and Nike’s original ‘Be True To Your School’ team shoes from ‘85, Court Purple remains an iconic shade enriched with heritage Nike DNA. Drawing inspiration from the notion that the colour purple was once a colour reserved only for royalty as a symbol of greatness, the shade has since been adopted to pay homage to some of basketball’s greatest, including the likes of Michael Jordan on numerous Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 13 releases, as well as to the likes of Lebron James on the Court Purple LeBron 12 Low and the Air Zoom Generation from 2023.
Much like Nike SB’s abstractions from basketball, the courtside colourway has marked its popularity on a number of skate favourites including the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Court Purple’ and the Court Purple, Black & White Dunk Low Pro from 2021. Combining regality with outdoor innovation, the purple hue also appears across a number of All Conditions Gear (ACG) silhouettes like the Nike ACG Watercat+; a breathable outdoor shoe designed with a non-wicking cord construction. A time-honoured and sought after colourway with a seemingly endless remit matched similarly by other heritage colour block shades such as Pine Green, University Red and Royal Blue.
Featuring premium white leather underlays and purple suede overlays, the Court Purple Dunk Low is designed with a classic full-length cupsole construction, a gum rubber outsole and a perforated forefoot inspired by basketball classics. Interchangeable laces feature custom OL aglets, whilst the OG padded mesh tongue features woven Nike SB Dunk Low flag labels. Finished with purple suede side Swooshes, printed Orange Label insoles and with embroidered Nike heel detailing.
Heavily influenced by court classics, the pack’s Court Purple Pogo Plus arrives with crisp white leather uppers and contrasting suede Swoosh and heel tabs. Orange Label details include a woven tongue and printed insoles, whilst its fully vulcanised construction is paired with raised taping and a reinforced toe box for additional wear reduction. The gum rubber herringbone bone tread pays homage to basketball favourites with mini embroidered Swooshes displayed across each forefoot.
Tying into the Pogo and Dunk, the Blazer Mid also features Court Purple trims with suede Swooshes, a Nike embroidered suede heel and all-white leather uppers. Featuring interchangeable laces, cushioned Zoom Air inserts and a classic mid-top cut with an exposed foam OG padded tongue finishing the design.
