The National Skate Co. x Vans x Vague Mag x Flatspot Civic Jam

The National Skateboard Co. teamed up with Vague Skate Mag and the legendary Vans for the first time to run an ‘Under Revue’ tour which involved hitting up various spots around the UK throughout May to August 2019. With an aim to hold free-for-all skate sessions that would encourage locals to get together and show their support for a selected resident skate store, team riders from TNSC and Vans came along for the ride. Leeds was the first stop, followed by Norwich, Nottingham and Plymouth before finishing up in London.

On Friday July 26th the tour reached Plymouth for a chilled evening get together at the city’s central Civic spot. Complete with beers from Northern Monk and a Vans ‘Bump to Bar Inn’ setup from NASS that enticed locals from Devon and Cornwall, the likes of Aaron Jago, Sam Roberts, Steve Attfield, Josh ‘Ranga’ Harper and Jack Gorham pulled out all the stops in hopes of bagging prizes for best trick from the events sponsors Flatspot and Vans. Whilst Aaron Jago took the title, a notable moment was his brother Elliot perfecting a switch frontside heelflip over the bump bar which finished the evening on a high.

For a look at what went down on the evening take a look at the TNSC x Vague x Vans: Under Revue Tour - Flatspot video which features TNSC and Vans riders  Michal Juras, Cam Barr, Aaron Jago and Josh 'Manhead' Young, alongside our own Aaron Jago, Steve Attfield and Josh Harper plus Chaz Merryweather, Adam Keats, Tom Gabriel, Dave Morgan, Deimate Sprainaityte and Finn McCormick.

Founded in Leeds in 2012, The National Skateboard Co. are all about community and friends which they show through seasonal drops of apparel, memorable skate clips and events. Recent seasons have included illustrations by Stefan Marx designed to raise awareness for mental health with proceeds going to the Mind Charity. A go-to resource for the latest skate focused edits and happenings, Vague is an online platform based in London who released their first official issue at the start of 2019. Of course, Vans requires no introduction as one of the best known skateboard brands in history.

Big thanks to all involved.
