Launched in 2009 and based in a former art gallery, Civilist Berlin remains an integral part of European skate and streetwear culture. Blending Berlin’s vibrant culture with a rebellious spirit, Civilist apparel draws inspiration from a passion for art, design and contemporary fashion. Proudly manufacturing all their clothing and accessories in the EU, Civilist draws reference from local musicians, artists, skaters and even BMX riders. Recognised for collaborations with brands including Stussy, Carhartt WIP, Vans and Nike SB on the heat-changing Dunk Low from 2020, Civilist are also known for their Stussy Berlin Chapter and Nike SB pop-up store roots; a collaborative retail space ultimately inspired by the local Neue National Gallery by Mies Van Der Rohe. Located in the Mitte district of Berlin, Civlist also acts as a cultural hub host to art exhibitions, skate events, community gatherings and more.
