As the latest project to be announced by skater Pontus Alv and good-friend come creative director Sami Tolppi, Last Resort AB is a sibling brand of the infamous Polar Skate Co. whose aesthetic combines references to classic courtside footwear with an undoubted passion for skate. Following their beliefs that a shoe company that is like Polar or Palace needs to exist in support of a generational shift, the concept for Last Resort AB is simple - make shoes that are plain and simple, with minimal branding. With this in mind, the designs are set to have universal appeal for wear both on and off a skateboard with a long-lasting finish that stands up to wear across different terrains. Keeping to a smaller scale with low minimums and pressure, Last Resort AB’s mission is to make some cool designs, hope skaters are into it, have fun and see what happens.
