Adidas Pro Model Shoes

A hi-cut version of the iconic adidas Superstar sneakers, these core black Pro Model Shoes have a mid-top silhouette which wraps around the ankle for a high level of support whilst skating. The uppers are made from leather with decorative three stripe panelling on either side, perforation in between and gold metallic ‘Pro Model’ text branding above. A signature shell-style toe cap adds a high level of durability to a key area below the long lace up fastening which helps to keep the fit in place on top of a padded tongue that wraps around the foot. Printed onto the tongue, a luxe gold metallic printed label shows a curved rectangle encase the trefoil emblem with ‘adidas’ lettering above. For further branding, at the back of the heel a similar design can be seen, also in gold metallic, with the trefoil emblem above ‘adidas’ text. The ankle collar is padded and a fabric lining runs throughout the inside. Underfoot the black outsole has a matte finish with a slightly textured surface pattern and underfoot a herringbone tread delivers a high level of grip for everyday wear.

Taking the adidas Superstar to new heights, this Pro Model caters to modern day needs of skateboarding through comfort and support focused features that protect the foot from repetitive impact. Originally a basketball trainer, the adidas Superstar was first seen in 1969 and was made famous for streetwear by ‘80s hip hop trio Run DMC. Celebrated through various notable releases, 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the Superstar.
