Inspired by Bluetile Skateshop’s South Carolina roots and the monarch butterflies that migrate through the region year-round, this Dunk blends skate function with layered storytelling. The Monarch butterfly graphic carries deeper meaning, symbolising strength and resilience within Mexican immigrant communities. It also honours Irving Juarez, a Bluetile shop family member who immigrated from Veracruz, Mexico - reflecting how, like the Monarch, he and many others bring colour and life to their communities. A printed suede upper with metallic underlays creates a subtle shimmer effect, while butterfly toe box perforations and wing-shaped lace flaps bring movement through the design. Fuzzy interchangeable laces and mesh 3D swooshes add texture and contrast, balanced by embroidered Blue Tile heel detailing and a South Carolina flag label under the tongue. Inside, custom labels and kaleidoscope monarch insole artwork continue the narrative, sitting above printed underfoot graphics and a semi-translucent outsole. Finished with OG padding, a foam sockliner, Zoom Air heel unit, and cupsole construction with circular tread for everyday skate-ready grip.
